    What ya got?
  1. Nice
  2. I wouldn't turn that down.
  3. So. ...just do awesome stuff and it will turn out awesome? Making the mental note.
  4. Can you get both holes bolted to the frame? I would think it would work then.
  5. Well if you only got a song into them i say cut away. Will be a cheap lesson for us all... I would make a little jig to keep it all square and true.
  6. I have a 4x6 jack Daniels tin with 2 pocket rockets in it that is just screaming "drink my heavenly juices and drill me". Accept it's worth like $40 bucks so i have resisted so far
  7. Very good thread... but is it all over now?
  8. If you can put in a piece of tubing it should be strong.
  9. Oh my god. This is rad.
  10. That engine case made my pants tight.
  11. Well it seems that the problem was shitty new points. They looked brand new when I picked this bike up so I didn't mess with them. Somewhere in the mountains of West Virginia it really started missing! One guy described it like automatic weapons going of in front of him. It was missing very bad. It started right after a gas stop and it was raining so we assumed water and bad gas. But it never cleared out on its own so we filed the points. It ran great for a tank or 2 of gas and shit the bed again. Dick with the points and it would run good for a while.. sunday morning before the road home we switched out points plates with and old one a guy had along. Ran like a top all the way from North Carolina to wisconsin got WAY better mpg's too. I am starting to develop an oil leak at the head gasket on the #1 side. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't have used any oil.. I am happy with having used the 50 weight. I had the head light terminals fuse together in the can after the high beam switch failed. Oil pressure guage started leaking, resealed that. #2 header pipe kept creeping off. Blowing fuses all the time. Found out the springer was smashing the head light wires when resting to the left.
  12. I seem to be losing fuel at speeds 65 and over. Or its intermittent spark. can be humming along and then I start getting a lean condition. If I clutch it or stop and go I can "clear it" and start humming along again. It seems to me that lower speeds are better at not acting up.
  13. I got one in the works that would use a stock type air filter that would be sandwiched to all 4 carbs leaving the element open and exposed requiring a prefilter for water proofing.
  14. Went to the bike shop yesterday and picked up some 130's and 140 mains. Had them size my pilots and it does appear someone has drilled them out. About to 53. So with only running it in the garage cuz of rain... 140 main with 53 slow jet is black soot rich. Getting out early today when the rain stops I can get some road tests and try the 130's.
