this is my new lift that a buddy of mine bought for me cause he was thinking of me when he saw it. it is a hospital lift for lifting patients into a wheel chair bath etc.

I have already lifted a front of a riding mower so I could change the blades on it. It holds up to 400 lbs. I need to retweek the leg a little bit but it seems to work just fine. and it comes apart. The upright comes off the base and the legs swivel in and out. And the best part is it was free to me but he only paid 40 bux for it total. New they are like 400 bux. YEAH ME.............LOL

Nice repurposing job. They're shutting down the hospital on post here soon. I'll have to keep an eye out for one of those.

that is what this is for man. but if when you get one and the legs swing in and out, you might want to weld them out cause it is a bitch trying to roll it across the floor when you have an engine on it and the legs want to go back in.

i've got 1 and 1/2 of those. i was hoping to be the first to post about these mini engine hoists,oh well. the complete one not only comes apart in a flash but also folds flat vertically, and locks the legs when open.

i used it last weekend to lift my virgo (500 lbs.) and set it on a dolly. i forget to check what it was rated for but it was sweet. i figure it must be rated for at least 300 lbs. with a 3 or 4 to 1 safty factor i think i can take it up to 1000 lbs. i'm goinging to try a counter balenced bar to put my shovel head engine into a frame cause age is stealing my strength and i,m to stupid to ask for help. or maybe i just love the feeling when i figure it out and do it myself.
