74 posts in this topic

Here we are again. The 5th bike were building. Like before everything is made by ourselfs. The seat is a modified bicycle brooks seat. The footpegs and stuff are made on our lathe. the battery box an ammunition box. a skateboardwheel is chain tensioner. Gastank is from a sparta moped. Front wheel honda xl. Forklegs no idea. i quess from a old motocross i had a lot off work to get damage holes out. The ribbed fender is from bikeline and ducktailed (or how do you call it) by us.

We still have a lot off work to do and much freetime to build at the time :-(

Check out our blogspot to see more pics and our previous builds

Nice work. I like the swoopiness of the frame.

Me too and I was just talking to someone the other day about wanting an XS frame to fit me that had the curves to it like this one. I think one just like that with the backbone curved as well would be awesome! Maybe JT Bros is interested in building one?...hhhmmm..... lol

You're going to think this is weird, but I really like the magic marker paintjob.

We don't have a lot of time these days. So we only did some small things but small things cost a lot of time.

Here some pics from some goodies. Headlight, taillight and liscenceplate holder. Self made handlebar (its gonna be black) The brake and clutch leveller are allmost ready. Only holes need to be drilled in them. the carbs allmost look like new :-)

Oh and a pic of the sketch that a made how the bike's gonna look. Butt the painting is gonna be with a gold rising sun in it.

Now we gonna start with the front end. The yokes are shaped allready. As you can see on pic 3

guy's we need your help. We can't decide what front end to use. The orginal plan was a telescope fork with covers. that's option 1. option 2 a springer. option 3 don't know how it's called.check the pics

I'd be happy to have any of them, but in order of choice 1, 3, 2 . Springers are cool but getting a bit like the peanut take and becoming the norm on builds these days, #3 the girder style is mean, but whatever you guys choose I'm sure it will be cool and you will pull it off with style and ease, what we call "steez" or "steezy" in this part, awesome keep it up.

I would also choose them in that order...1-3-2

Stock rake? Hydraulics, leafer or a springer. Raked? Springer, girder, or that leafer derivative in photo 3.

so we decided to stick to the original plan. The telescope fork with covers. We finally got the parts we need to make it our way. Pics will follow soon. The forks need to be lowered. These are not the stock ones but from an old motorcross kinda bike.

Thanx for the good reactions
