reamed my exhaust valve guide and got the head back together cleaned and painted my casings and block and after much sweating and swearing the engine is almost completely rebuilt

Yeah pretty happy got some shed time today and got the stator and rotor back in and got the cam shaft and rocker assembly back in but when tensioning the head bolts found one is binding so have to get that sorted but the engine is pretty much done

Got my head bolt situation sorted out and tensioned the head bolts and adjusted the valves. Need to polish the side covers and it's done.

Looks like you got a cool bike on your hands there. I like the yellow/black tank. Got one on one of my bikes. Don't look as nice as that one does...

I decided that before I keep making progress I really needed to reorganize and tidy my work space I been putting it off for too long so I got stuck in the other day and totally rearranged the shelves so I can access the side of my bench going to relocate the vice and my drill press arrived yesterday and I was thinking I might knock up a stand for my grinder and get it off the bench should give me a better workspace will update soon as I finished.

Got the grinder out and started chopping the rear end. Started playing around with some old indicators to see how they would look:

Fitted a sr500 headlight and gauges I had in a box of bits I like it more than the stock option and I don't really want to spend money .

Yeah that was mistake#1 the tyre was very old so didn't mind cutting it up to get it off but should have done that first got a bit more to do on the hub then decide if I'm going to polish it was thinking might get it powder coated.
