This thing has a long history of mods.

Began life as an 1985 Honda Goldwing.

It is only going to get worse before it gets better. I don't plan on any new frame changes. Move some mounting tabs around for some new components and paint. It has been through quite a few change over the years. You can still see bits of the wing here and there.

Same thing with the trans. Heavily modified years ago. It is coming down for seals and check for any unusual wear from running it upside down and backwards with parts that ain't supposed to fit in it to start with.

Ain't much of the wing left anymore. Ever since that day I said I wanted to put a bigger boxer in it.

It is getting more engine mods. Gonna be 2286cc and fuel injected and close to 200 hp this time.

Am I doing something wrong?

Pics of parts and the plans till Jan, then fab/assembly? To be honest I did fab up some intake manifolds a couple weeks ago though.

This thing has a long history and this is more of a rebuild or rechop. I hope to have a different look to it this time around but nothing as major as modifying another frame.

Nope, you're good. Posting pics of pieces and parts prior to the start is allowed.

How to keep alum heads clean?

I am looking at this stuff.

Anybody ever try this?

Have tried some of their other products on guns. But I have not ever heard of anyone using the thermally conductive stuff. I have read internet claims of 30% increase in heat transfer and washes clean like ceramic coated headers.

The color is darker than what I want but it only comes in charcoal and black.

Was thinking of doing the heads, jugs and cases in grey. Maybe the jugs in black to break it up, I dunno, not very imaginative with colors.

A detailed thread on fuel injection computer building would be AWSOME!!

Hint hint. :thumbup1:

There is many different ways to go with that. So many different combinations of parts and controllers.

I have an old bowling and grippo board and a 8mhz Motorola chip laying around so this is what I am going to build on. I will be running ms1 Xtra code. It is written in old assembler language and is modifyable.

Go to megasquirt web site and start reading. Way too much info and theory there. Will give you a headache but eventually it makes sense.

There is plenty of online calculators to size your injectors and throttle bodies.

Being as I i don't want to build a coil driver board or a newer board with the area to build it I am going to use existing stuff. This ford escort coil, driver and crank trigger is an almost stand alone unit. It can wire up and spark without a computer just no advance. All it needs is a saw (spark advance word). So a single word of info from the computer one wire. Easy to program up. The edis module contains all the coil drivers and all its own code for things like dwell.

There is a specific amount of fuel you have to burn at stoichiometric. So there is a calculation for injector size. I get tired of doing math so I used and online calculator. You size them at 80% capacity so they don't over heat in normal usage. High impedance injectors are easier as they can run at line voltage (no added resistors).

320 cc mitsubishi injectors for my scooter.

Well where is the fun in that?

Pick you some parts.

Build some intake manifolds.

Hmmm, I'm sure they didn't need any ribs on the boot because it's made of a premium space age material that won't tear when constantly folded.

Or, they know that the master will fail long before the boot so it wasn't worth the effort.
