Just finished - CB550 chop

It was a mess - found it in a storage bin.  Hadn't been started for 20 years and was all rusted out.  Rebuilt the engine with an overbore kit and bought some remanufactured carbs - runs perfect now.  Fun and comfortable bike to ride.  :)

Made the electrical harness from scratch.  Bike is kick start only and all the electrical do dads are in this sheet metal box:  battery, rectifier/regulator, key ignition and switches.

Thanks - half brat - half chopper.  Never seen that before.

This is how it sounded before rejetting - runs great now after changing slows from 38s to 40s and the mains from 100 to 115.  Needles went up one washer and one spacer:

Man, that came out great!  I love the way those little motors sound through weed burners.

The lights are truck running lights I got at a auto parts store.  Advanced Auto I think.  They were like $15-19 each.  The bracket is the hard piece to find and I repurposed the bracket on another project.

I am a bike stuff parts hoarder and keep things like that for projects down the roads.  :(   Sorry.
